Lebanon Marks Its Independence Day

Lebanese Ambassador to Seoul Issam Mostapha and his spouse Mrs. Majida Mostapha hosted a recepion at a Seoul hotel on Nov. 22, 2010 on the occasion of its national day.

Its national day "the Lebanese Independence Day," falls on November 22 and is celebrated each year after Lebanon was liberated from the French Mandate on Nov. 22, 1943.

The dinner reception attracted a number of high-profile guests from Seoul's diplomatic community, business circle, and art and media fields.

South Korea formed official diplomatic ties with Lebanon on Feb. 12, 1981.
