KB Chief Euh Yoon-Dae received "CEO Award"
LS Group Chairman John Koo Also Recipient of Award

Chairman Euh Yoon-Dae of KB Financial Group Inc.

Chairman Euh Yoon-Dae of KB Financial Group Inc. has received “Korea CEO Grand Award” for the financial devision in a ceremony that was held at President Hotel in Seoul’s Sogong-dong on Dec. 9, 2011.

Chairman John Koo of LS Group also received “Korea CEO Grand Award” for manufacturing business area.

The “9th Korea CEO Award” ceremony was hosted by the Korea CEO Academy chaired by Pyo Jung-Ho.

The ceremony included a releasing event of a book “South Korea’s 10 CEOs III,” which deals with 10 most representative chief executive officers chosen by the academy.

Euh, a noted scholar-turned business leader, has been at the helm of one of the major local finance companies since July of 2010.

Euh served as president of Korean University from February of 2003 to December of 2006.

He graduated from Korea University with BA degree in business administration in 1969. He also went through Korea University’s Business School, earning his MA degree in the same field.

It was in 1978 that he received his Ph.D. in business administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

In the following year he started serving as a faculty member for Korea University’s Business School.

The Korea CEO Academy was established in 1997 while the nation was hit by the global financial crisis locally dubbed “IMF crisis.”

Since its inception the academy has been dedicated to the research and development of the leaderships of the local business leaders.

The academy also announces the annual “Korea CEO Grand Award” to be given to the local business leaders who contributed to the local economy.
