Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra to Visit S. Korea
Will Attend Investment Seminar in Seoul on March 26

Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra

Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will visit South Korea from March 24 to March 27, 2012, Tourism Authority of Thailand Seoul Office announced on March 16, 2012.

Thai Industry Minister Pongsvas Svasti will accompany her on her first visit to South Korea.

It said that during her stay in South Korea she will meet with the local journalists during an investment seminar to be held at Lotte Hotel at 10 a.m. on March 26 (Monday), 2012.

She will speak to the local media under the title of "Thailand: Creating the Future."

The Thai premiere will explain to the journalists about the potential business opportunities in Thailand and the mid-term and long-term development plans of her country.

The two-hour investment seminar "Unbeatable Thailand, Unparalleled Opportunities: Business Environment and Investment Policies" will be organized by Tourism Authority of Thailand Seoul Office and the Federation of Korean Industries.

During the seminar Minister Svasti will deliver a keynote address under the title of "Thailand’s Economy and Industrial & Investment Strategies."

Prior to her visit to South Korea Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra made an official working visit to Japan from March 6 to March 9, 2012.

While in Japan she met with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda for a summit talks. She also visited Miyagi Prefecture, which was severely affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, which shook north eastern part of Japan a year ago.

The Thai premiere also hosted a seminar to induce Japanese investment into Thailand.
