New Italian Ambassador Marco della Seta
to Attend "Italy-Korea Science Club" in Seoul

The next "Italy-Korea Science Club" will meet at the residence Italian Embassy's Science & Technology Counsellor Francesco Canganella in Seoul's Seongbuk-gu area on Nov. 26 (Thursday), 2015, the Italian Embassay in Seoul announced in its news release.

The monthly event will start at 7 p.m. on the day. The Italian counsellor also serves as a professor.

The informal gathering is meaningful this time as the new Italian Ambassador Marco della Seta will also be present.

At the incoming gathering Dr. Nam Suk-Woo from KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology) will be invited as the guest speaker. Currently Dr. Nam serves as director of KIST's National Agenda Research Division.

Dr. Nam will speak on alternative and innovative energy systems, covering "Fuel Cells and Hydrogen, Current Status and Priority Issues for a Sustainable Development."

In the talk general issues, main topics, key aspects of bilateral cooperation, and potential implications for the common people will be covered.

Moreover a special emphasis will be given to innovation and creativity. There will be a question and answer session as well.

An Italian buffet dinner will follow the talk as a get-together opportunity to pose further questions and share current knowledge in science as well as in cultural activities.

The new Italian Ambassador to Seoul Marco della Seta received a credential from South Korean President Park Geun-Hye at Choeongwadae or presidential Blue House in Seoul on Sept. 14, 2015.

Earlier in September, 2015 the new Italian envoy visited South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE), talking with its Second Vice Minister Moon Jae-Do on ways of promoting industrial and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Italian ambassador also met with Minister Lee Dong-Pil of South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul on Nov. 6 (Friday), 2015. They discussed mutual pending issues of the two nations.
