"2017 Summit for World Peace" Held in S. Korea
World Leaders at Summit Urge for Cessation of Wars
HWPL Chairman Lee Man-Hee

"2017 Summit for World Peace," held by Chairman Lee Man-Hee of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), has attracted a number of high-profile leaders from the world, making the peace summit a world-famous summit for integration of the religions and for the world peace.

The Third Annual Commemoration of the Peace Summit for the World Alliance of Religions was held at Hwaseong Sports Complex in Hwaseong south of Seoul on Sept. 18, 2017.

A myriad of representatives of world's religions from all across the globe were invited to the summit.

A total of 1,100 religious leaders including former heads of state from 111 countries across the globe took part in the largest peace event in South Korea.

Among the world' leaders were Croatia's former President Ivo Josipovic, former Belarusian President Stanislau Shushkevich, and former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan.

The religious leaders from the world marched on the track in the stadium jam packed with tends of thousands people.

Hundreds of representatives of International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) circled the track of the stadium cheered by thunderous applauds from the viewers.

Also marched on the track were well over 100 women' group delegates in their traditional costumes from the international women's organizations.

"I am really glad to see all the leaders gathered at this event," Chiraman Lee said. "Top priority facing humanity is the cessation of wars, the world's leaders should join in this effort for world peace."

"World Summit for World Peace" was organized by Chairman Lee three years ago when he proclaimed "Declaration of World Peace," urging the world's leaders for the peace on the Earth.

In actuality Chairman Lee called for the enactment of international law for the cessation of war and world peace in 2014.

Experts and authorities on international law were invited to Chairman Lee for the enactment and they formed a committee for the world peace.

Aside from the main event at the stadium four international seminars and conferences were held in Seoul prior to the main event.

Hundreds of experts as well as the world's leaders took part in the conferences held at Sept. 17, 2017 at Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, southern Seoul.

All the participants gathered called for the immediate cessation of wars and conflicts, urging the world's leaders for the world peace.

They discussed ways for achieving world peace by legislating relevant international laws.
