An Elegant Dinner Served with the Perfect Wine
At COEX InterContinental Seoul’s Wine Maker's Dinner

A dinner table of COEX InterContinental Seoul's Jupiter Room

On Sept. 30, 2005, beginning at 6:30 p.m. the COEX InterContinental Seoul's Jupiter Room will be the site of an elegant six-course dinner complemented by eight different wines.

Conceived by the hotel's executive chef, Mr. Paul Schenk, this month's Wine Maker's Dinner will be held on the 30th floor of the hotel so that diners will be able to enjoy the evening views of southern Seoul's Han River.

Wine expert Mr. Jamie Sach will be introducing each of the wines he has selected with this month's featured wines coming from the 150-year old Australian Penfold winery.

Chef Schenk created a memorable menu starting off with Semi dried tomato and parmesan bread, pesto cream cheese followed by lemon peppered prawn tails with caramelized leeks and painted balsamic reduction (Private Bin Chardonnay 2004), Warm crispy skinned duck breast with a mandarin and tat soy salad (St. Henri Shiraz 2000), Creamy clam chowder with vegetables (Koonunga Hill Semillon Chardonnay 2001), and Beef tenderloin with pyogo mushroom duxelle, potato and chive mash, roasted red capsicum, confit garlic cloves, steamed asparagus and white truffle flavored jus (Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2002).

The meal comes to a conclusion with selected international cheeses, crispy homemade lavosh, crudités and honey (Thomas Hyland Shiraz 2002), Tian of espresso and milk chocolate mousse, pistachio anglaise (Koonunga Hill Cabernet Merlot 2002).

The price for an unforgettable evening of fine cuisine, wine, and incomparable atmosphere is 100,000 won (VAT and service charge included)
