"Food Korea" Tempts Tastebuds
"Food Korea 2003" was held with hundreds of local and international food exhibitors displaying their goods at the Agro-Trade & Exhibition Center in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The food exhibition event began on November 14 for a four-day run. A total of 270 companies, including 58 foreign ones from 28 countries, presented their products ranging from dairy products, drinks, frozen and dried foods, noodles, meat, poultry, confectionary, health food and functional food, to organic food. Belgium presented beer and chocolate; Bulgaria, rose juice and rose jam; Denmark, dairy products; Italy, wine, olive oil, and pasta; The Netherlands, beverages and spirits; and United Kingdom, seafood. The exhibition was sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. A photo exhibition of wild flowers and folk art performances of various countries were also held while the USFK (United States Forces Korea) members took part in contests of kimchi and rice cake making.
