"Diageo-EKF Scholarship Programme 2006"

Recipients of Diageo-EKF Scholarship Programme and family

In the 4th year of its scholarship programme, the Europe-Korea Foundation (EKF) is working together with Diageo Korea to support South Korean graduate students whishing to study at universities in the UK.

With the funds provided by Diageo, EKF will be able to select one student. The selected student will be provided with a stipend to support his/her monthly living expenses for the duration of one academic year.

Moreover, the students will also be provided the travel expenses to the hosting university. Interested students can still apply until May 31, 2006.

Applying students should not be older than 30 years and should have graduated from a Korean college. Only Korean Nationals whishing to study in the UK can be taken into consideration.

Since 2003, EKF has given scholarships to South Korean students wishing to undertake their graduate and postgraduate studies in Europe. With its programmes EKF is aiming to increase the ties between EU countries and the Korean peninsula through education.

All students will be selected according to their exceptional academic merit and financial needs. Starting in September, the selected candidates will undertake Master's programmes at some of the best European universities.

Diageo Korea supports this programme because it is interested and willing to contribute to the wellbeing of Korean society, having been a constant supporter of this EKF progamme since the very beginning.

Application forms and admission requirements as well as more information on the foundation can be found on EKF's website at www.ekf.or.kr.

The Europe-Korea Foundation (EKF), a non-profit organization, is the charity arm of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Korea (EUCCK)
