Canadian Embassy to Host Education Seminar
16 Canadian Education Officials Visits Seoul for Seminar
Korean students in Canada

The Canadian Embassy in Seoul will hold a High School Seminar at the Seoul Plaza Hotel in downtown Seoul from Sept. 29 to Sept. 30, 2007 to promote Canadian educational programs with Korean educational institutions, and school boards.

The 16 educational board officials compsiring the Canadian public schools, Canadian Association of Independent Schools, www.cais.ca), and AP(Advanced Placement Programs in Canada, www.ap.ca) come to Seoul for the event.

The Canadian officials are from the 16 Boards of Educational Districts in Canada.

In particular, Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District #42 set up a sisterhood relationship with Incheon Girls' Junior High School in 2002. It has been offering a scholarship to the related Korean schools for the last five years.

This seminar is aimed at proving the Korean general public with accurate information about Canadian education programs, according to the embassy souce.

During the seminar the Canadian education officials will have face-to-face meetings with the parents of the Korean students to give them the right information on education in Canada and the admission procedure of the Canadian schools.
