The exhibition ranges from two of the most important representatives of the early modernism in 1950s, Lee Dae Won and Kim Tschang Yeul, and internationally renowned artists, such as Kang Ik-Joong, Kwun Sun Cheol, Jung Byung Guk, Oh Chi Gyun, and Shin Sung Hy to different positions of the younger Korean generation with Jeong Jong-Kie, Kim Min-Carla, Sun Young Byun, Yoo Junghyun and other artists.

Therewith for the very first time contemporary Korean art will be presented in such a wide spread and high artistic quality in the region of Frankfurt/ Main – adopted country of the biggest Korean Business-Community in Germany.

The show delivers a most exciting insight into the plurality of Korean art. The works of the selected artists illustrate a dynamic and varying interplay between their own rich Korean traditions and the influences of modern European as well as American art – so to speak an artistic reflection of the rapid Korean development which is affected by the enormous economic progress, globalization as well as national and regional identity.

Based in Frankfrut, Die Galerie already has branches in such countries as Italy, the United States, and Spain. Now it is preparing to advance into the Asian market.
