America Can Improve Unemployment

Ted Williams used drugs to cause his unemployment, but there are many talented Americans who are clean but are living in his condition. The Huffington Post stated that the national unemployment rate for December 2010 was 9.4 percent.

Whites had an unemployment rate of 8.5 percent while Blacks had 15.8 percent with Black men between ages 25-29 having about 21 percent. This does not even include Black males in prison.

According to the Washington Post, the Justice Bureau stated that 32 percent of Black males born in 2001 will go to prison during their lifetime. This is not because Black men love crime and hate education, but rather, because the number of Black males doing crime appear to be more successful than the educated but unemployed.

Many assume that Black men are lazy or do not qualify for these jobs, but the truth is that Affirmative Action was created to protect White women’s opportunities from minority competition under the disguise of equal rights. It has been reported publicly that White women are the primary beneficiaries of Affirmative Action.

This report is true because many companies use Black women to fill most of the Black quota and use White women to fill the entire women’s quota. For instance, if the requirement is 40 percent women and 12 percent Black, they would give the Black women about 10 percent of the Black quota and all 40 percent of the women quota to White women.

For Affirmative Action to be effective in America so that talented people can work, the employees of each company must reflect the percentage distribution of residents in that county by race and gender accurately. For those with limited skill supply, they can recruit from other counties. Many educated Black men like Ted Williams are prepared to drive 50 miles to work fair paying jobs.
