China Machine Tool Exhibition 2011 Success
160 Enterprises Gather in Nanjing from All Over World
China, the world's largest producer & consumer of machine tools

The China Machine Tool Exhibition (CMTE 2011) closed its doors on October 14, 2011 at the Nanjing International Expo Centre after a very successful inaugural event. 7,752 visitors from 7 countries and regions made their way to CMTE 2011.

Mr. Luo Qun, Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Nanjing Municipality, Mr. Hu Xuetong, Deputy Director of the Economic & Information Technology Commission of Jiangsu Province, China, as well as Mr. Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH attended the opening ceremony.

160 leading enterprises coming from Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, USA, Japan, China and Taiwan gathered at this unique platform. At CMTE 2011, the latest technologies and products were presented by Hardinge, Haas, Spinner, DEPO, Tech-omiller, OSG, Nagoya Precision Tools, Formdrill, Wikus, WEKO-Gear Technologies, Kaefer Dial Gauges, SMP Technik, MACHTEK, Litz and many more.

Domestic Chinese enterprises not only showcased their latest products and technologies, but also presented creative innovations such as Haitian, Nanjing No.2 Machine Tool Works and Nanjing Technical Equipment Manufacture etc.

The companies Hardinge, MACHTEK and Jingqiao CNC Machine presented their products and solutions onsite at the Technology Presentation Area. This special display area attracted trade visitors interested in meeting new suppliers and sales partners.

China Daily, China Industry News, MM Vogel, Machinery & Electronics Business, China Machine Media, Jiangsu TV, Nanjing TV, Jiangsu Broadcasting were among more than 50 media representatives who covered the show and generated an impressive number of news reports on inaugural CMTE. Exhibitors were pleasantly surprised to see such substantial media coverage, which included many onsite interviews.

On the first day of the exhibition, DMG China, FUCHS China, and Koerber Schleifring attended the “China International Internal Combustion Engine Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit 2011” and presented their innovations and solutions at the conference. The “New Energy Supply Chain Communication Conference 2011”, the “Aerospace Efficient-Cutting Technology Seminar”, as well as the “Optical non-contact measurement solutions for the profile of impeller” seminar also achieved positive feedback from the attendees.

The key topics of CMTE 2011 were metal cutting machine tools, precision tools, metal forming machines and components, parts, components and accessories. The organizers succeeded in creating an outstanding business platform for exhibitors and also provided an opportunity for provincial and municipal leaders, industry experts and decision makers to learn about, negotiate and discuss the topics presented at the show.

Exhibitors applauded the excellent organization and the services provided at the trade fair and congress. The unusually high re -booking rate for next year’s show underscored the success that the inaugural international trade show had for exhibitors. Many exhibitors reported on excellent new business contacts and higher than expected sales. Major exhibitors expressed their interest to increase their booth size significantly for the next edition of the show in 2012.

The next edition of this show will be held from October 15 - 17, 2012 at the Nanjing International Expo Center. After this successful debut, Messe Stuttgart has decided to use its brand name AMB for the next year’s edition. With full support by the strong mother brand, AMB China will serve as the international platform for the industry in China’s strongest manufacturing region.
