It was a "night for socialization" for all Koreans and foreigners associated with Great Britain at Hotel Shilla's Guest House on Oct. 22, 2004.

British Council hosted an "Education UK Alumni Night," for all Koreans who studied in colleges and universities of Great Britain and other guests on the day.

The standing buffet event, which started at 6:30 p.m. at Hotel Shilla's Guest House, drew hundreds of UK Alumni Association members and other guests from British Embassy, academic, political, cultural, and other sectors of Korean and foreign communities.

Among the VIP guests were Gyeonggi Province Gov. Sohn Hak-Kyu, former Foreign Minister Han Seung-Soo, and lawmaker Park Jin of the largest opposition Grand National Party (GNP). Minister Han now serves as senior adviser for Kim & Chang law firm.
