Deputy Chairwoman Svetlana Artikova of Uzbek Senate Attends Round-Table at Hanyang Univ.
She Brings Uzbekistan Delegation on 4-Day Visit
Deputy Chairwoman Svetlana Artikova of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul hosted a round-table discussion regarding the Central Asian country's experience on social tasks at Hanyang University on Oct. 20, 2015.

The round-table was co-hosted at 9 a.m. on the day by Asia-Pacific Research Center of Hanyang University on the topic of "Institutional basis for augmenting efficiency of social partnership between the state, civil and local government structures in the implementation of important social tasks: Uzbekistan’s experience."

The venue was the video conferencing room on the sixth floor of the International Building (formerly Graduate Building) of Hanyang University in eastern Seoul, according to the embassy.

Lunch was offered by the university for the Uzbekistan delegation members at the VIP room of Club-H on the sixth floor of HIT building at the university.

The event was participated by the high-ranking Uzbekistan's delegation headed by Deputy Chairwoman Svetlana Artikova of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Ms. Svetlana Artikova, deputy chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan, was born in 1962 in Uchkurgan District of Namangan Region.

For many years she worked in public prosecutor bodies of Uzbekistan after she graduated from Tashkent State University of Law in 1987.

She served as chairwoman of the Senate Committee for Legislation and Judicial Issues from 2010 to 2014.

She has also been serving as deputy chairperson of the Central Election Commission since 2014.
