These global game changers are impacting industries and lives around the world. In order to be considered for the Forbes Global Game Changers list, leaders must be running a for-profit operation with a market value of at least $1 billion that is growing and innovating better than its peers.

"These are true movers and shakers who are reshaping their industries and forever changing the way we work, travel, communicate and invest," says Forbes staff writer Lauren Gensler, who edited the Forbes Global Game Changers list.

“We set out to find the most intrepid, innovative people in the business world who are thinking big and moving the needle. This year, our list features trailblazers like Slack creator Stewart Butterfield, Alibaba logistics maestro Judy Tong and renowned inventor James Dyson.”

As part of the Global Game Changers package, The Wizards From Oz (p. 37) story features two list makers, Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes, the Australian billionaires behind enterprise software giant Atlassian.

With a blockbuster IPO in 2015 and annual revenues approaching $600 million, Atlassian is one of the most successful technology startups in Australian history. NASA, Snapchat, Twilio and Spotify are among the world’s most prominent innovators that use Atlassian’s products.
