Tunisian Play in Seoul Performing Arts Festival
Award Winning "Junun" to Be Shown on Oct. 1-3
 | "Junun" presented at Avignon Theater Festival in France in 2002. | An award winning Tunisian play will be shown to the locals during the Fifth Seoul Performing Arts Festival whiched kicked off Sept. 23, 2005 for the three-week run."Junun" which literally means "extravagance or madness" in Arabic language, is a Tunisian play which will be performed by "Familia Production" of Tunisia, from October 1 to 3, 2005 at Arko Arts Theatre.Directed by the artist Fadhel Jaibi, "Junun" recounts a depicting story of a man living indifference at home and violence in society. The play won several prizes, both in Tunisia and abroad and it was recently presented at Avignon Festival in France.A total of 22 performances by 25 troupes from 12 nations, including Tunisia, Germany, Russia, Brazil, Spain, Iran, and France, will be presented at several venues across Seoul, including the Arts Theater of the Korean Culture and Arts Foundation, the National Theater of Korea and Chungmu Art Hall.The Fifth Seoul Performing Arts Festival is going on under the theme of "Reform of Arts."For details about "Junun" contact Mr. Jalil Ben Rabeh, counseloor, deputy headl of mission of the Tuinisian Embassy in Seoul at 790-4334/5 or email him at ambtnkor@kornet.net
