A group of dedicated women, foreign and Korean, established Planting Love in 1990 to assist with the understanding and acceptance of individuals with disabilities, as well as, helping them to improve their lives by providing better educational and training programs.

To continue this work, Planting Love holds an annual fundraising event to provide funds for Eun Hae School and Seton Rehabilitation Center for children with physical challenges in Kwangju and St. Mary School and Sacred Heart Residence for children with visual impairments in Chungju.

This year the 15th Annual Planting Love Charity Dinner Concert to benefit children with disabilities was held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the Millennium Seoul Hilton.

The charity party's MC's were Yoo Yul, a local entertainer and Caroline Kim. They showed a short video about the programs being helped and also had a performance by the children from Sacred Heart Residence. After dinner they had a short concert and this year the performer was In Sooni, a well-known local singer.

They had a printed program with a welcome by Mrs. Kim Sang-Hyup, the committee members listed, poems written by two of the children, donor list, door prizes, ads etc. It was a successful event and as usual there were about 800 in attendance.
