Israeli attack on Lebanon

A fter the September 11 incident, America under the American President George Bush has started the so called 'War against Terrorism.' Under this worldwide operation, whereas America is targeting some terrorist hideouts, at the same time under this guise it is doing something for her own selfishness. Obviously, Israel that took birth in 1948, just because of the conspiracy of America & Britain, this new country wants to make hay in the sunshine. Following the footprints of its masters, Israel too, under the guise of this operation against terrorism, wants to finish those powers that fight against Israel for their rights. These powers have been challenging Israel & this challenge has been a strong armed challenge.

In Palestine & Lebanon there are two organizations named Hamas & Hizbullah that raised there voice against Israeli aggression. In Palestine & Lebanon, these organizations compelled Israel to go back & vacate the illegally occupied territories by Israel. The organization named Hamas is now ruling Palestine & this armed organization has taken the charge of Palestine in a democratic way. Whereas on the other hand, Hizbullah is also popular in South Lebanon because it too, with its armed struggle made Israel to leave their land & in this way protected their rights. Today if we don't talk of minor differences that prevail on local & political bases in Lebanon, the Shiites that are in majority & with them even people of Sunni & Christian communities, all these are strongly in favour of Hizbullah. But Israel is neither giving recognition to Hamas government in Palestine nor wants to give importance to the popularity of Hizbullah. Israel views the both as terrorist organizations.

A few days back, accusing for the kidnapping of its soldier, Israeli forces threw rockets on the office of Palestinian Prime Minister & leave it to ruins. On June 29, Israeli forces arrested eight ministers & 20 members of parliament of the Hamas led government & sent them to the prison. These arrests are being told as a part of war action by Israel & it is being said that as Hamas is an extremist organization so its leaders have been taken into custody. Latest news reveals that Israeli army have arrested Palestinian parliament speaker Aziz Duvaik, from his western coast situated residence & imprisoned him. Israeli army is telling this arrest as a right step & stressing the fact that Duvaik is a leader of Hamas so his arrest is a step in right direction. On the other hand, under the operation against terrorism, Israel is adopting inhuman military operation which is condemnable. At present, the scenes of devastation especially in South Lebanon & Beirut can easily convey the picture of a real terrorism. The organization that fights & takes arms for their rights such as Hizbullah & Hamas or Israeli government that is not hesitating in massacring common citizen under the pretext of fighting these armed organizations? If Hizbullah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, then is it proper to take inhuman action as in Qana where a single Israeli air attack killed 28 innocent persons. Today one can see terrorism spread by Israel army. In Beirut, Israel army did 70 & 80 attacks in one night. After aiming at a United Nations Organisation camp at Lebanon for 14 times & in spite of warning given by observers of the camp, it killed 4 U.N . observers in an air attack. Kofi Annan, the United Nations Secretary was pained because of this incident & said that it looks as if Israel has been knowingly targeting this camp of United Nations observers.

Now the question is if Israel says it is justified that it has devastated Palestine because its one soldier has been kidnapped & destruction of Lebanon is in retaliation to the action of Hizbullah then how the world should deal with Israel because it has killed four observers of United Nations Organisation. Dare United Nations Organisation take action against Israel as Israel likes to be taken against Palestine & Lebanon?

At present, certainly all types of armed movements are unjustified & shouldn't be encouraged. But in return mass killing of innocent people & destruction of infrastructure of a country is the greatest crime & terrorism. Now it is not the time that the armed organizations that are fighting to vacate the territory of their forefathers, should be eliminated but the need of the hour is to accept honestly the mistakes committed by the ancestors which is being compensated by their successors by losing their lives & property. Today if terrorism in the name of Islam is being folded in the leaves of history books, undoubtedly the terrorism by Israel can't be ignored.
