The purpose of a government is to provide for and to protect its people from all dangers including the uncertainties which life heaps upon them from time to time; this would include disease and famine. A good leadership should educate its young, care for the infirmed and the aged, and make sure that there is sufficient food for every one of its citizens.

Reasonable public defense and the ability to mobilize its civil resources during times of natural disaster is also the responsibility of a good government. The list of things, which define an effective administration, could fill many pages of an essay like this, but we all know what is necessary to make a people prosperous and happy. After all isn't a government the instrument of the people.

The point I am trying to make is; the government of North Korea, with it many insane ideas and its overweening paranoia, has chosen to neglect its people for the development of a war machine.

To say that the government of North Korea is ridiculous, strange, bizarre, and unreasonable in its foreign and domestic affairs is an understatement.

Famine plagues its people and tens of thousands try to cross the border into China every month in order to flee the pains of hunger and the uncertainty, which are the results of the irresponsible behavior of their leaders in Pyongyang.

Not only have the rulers of North Korea, reduced their acceptance of international aid and food stuffs to help their people, they also risk having sanctions imposed upon them by the development and testing of nuclear weapons. The international community is outraged by their blatant attempts to have a nuclear arsenal, which they can then use to threaten their neighbors.

To make matters worse, North Korea continues to involve itself in the international illegal drug trafficking trade. That makes North Korea criminals in deed and philosophy, no matter what they might think of themselves.

Nuclear, biological, chemical poisons, and an army of 10 million soldiers are just some of the weapons, which this command has at its disposal, and they have proven that they are willing to go to whatever extremes are necessary to bend the world to their unreasonable demands.

The administration in North Korea seems more like a pack of gangsters than a political body, their sales of illegal drugs helps confirm this assumption.
