Chairman Kim Jong-Il, A Man of Contradictions
By Thomas Emmon Pisano US Correspondent
 | North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il | Recent events have led us to believe that North Korea is on the road to the straight and narrow, willing to follow the guidelines, which will bring that regime around to the thinking that the world has put forth towards peace. Then Chairman Kim Jong IL threatens his neighbors to the south with unspecified consequences if they join the United Nations in imposing sanctions upon his country. The Chairman even intimates to China that he will also retaliate in some undisclosed manner towards his most important ally to the north. If your friends think that testing nuclear weapons is a bad idea, then take the hint, it's a bad idea. We have not forgotten the way in which this man came to power, through succession not election. Is this not a workers party, which supports this government, and is it not upon the backs of the worker that this regime floats? This is only a communist based government in appearance only it is wholly a dictatorship. Moreover, the lie that we are dealing with a government of the people is solely a propaganda tool at the very least. We must never for an instant forget that Chairman Kim Jong Il is a very intelligent man, educated at the finest communist based institutions and allowed to flourish by his father in the lap of luxury. In addition, we must never forget that this man, who runs North Korea with an iron hand, is a master of propaganda, deception, and misinformation. Recent history has shown us that North Korea is trying to develop weapons, which will change the balance of power in the region, cause her neighbors to be unsettled and uneasy, and will force the international community to take action against the North Korean people as a whole. Nevertheless, these actions against North Korea only hurt the general suffering population and not the root of the problem, Chairman Kim Jong Il. We must be careful not to hurt the already suffering working class, which has little to eat and less to be grateful for as it is. Sure, stop the technical shipments going to North Korea; stop anything, which may help in the development of weapons of mass destruction. However, be careful not to stop the flow of food and medicines, which might be necessary for the people who are unwitting victims in the power struggle that Chairman Kim has set up in his own back yard. Chairman Kim Jong Il is ruthless and will even sacrifice his own people as pawns in this game he is playing to develop weapons he has no business having. Chairman Kim is a devious character who will now play upon the sympathies of the world, by claiming reform overtly, and secretly harboring a lust for weapons which he can use to hold his neighbors hostage. He is a master of propaganda, don't forget this, he knows how to play that game better than anyone does. Chairman Kim, has created a balancing act were he micro-manages his government and the people of North Korea, he has his finger on the pulse of his country each and every day, he knows what buttons to push and what funds to release to keep the workers happy. Now, he knows that in order to keep the peace internally he must restore the flow of trade with his allies to the north and re-establish his business ventures with his friends to the south, in order to keep the fresh capital flowing and his country united. So now he is using both tactics to negotiate with us, on the one hand he is nice and on the other he threatens the people of the world, but don't trust him, don't take your eyes off of him for an instant, force him to follow through with his reformations towards peace, force him to sit down at the negotiating table and work out his terms in the form of treaties and international commitments. Don't take him for granted, don't forget who he is. This mentally unstable man will twist one way then the other trying to get his hands on that precious atomic bomb. This destructive power hungry dictator should not be allowed to acquire weapons, which will give him even more power, which he can wield against the sane peoples of the world.
