George Walker Bush: The Fighting President
By Thomas Emmon Pisano US Correspondent
 | US President George W. Bush | I have been waiting for just the right occasion to speak of our president, George Walker Bush.Half way through this second presidential term, in the year 2006, seems the best time to write of this most provocative man.Saying anything of our President is to speak of America and how it has influenced the world since January 20, 2001.President Bush has taken it upon himself to police the most hostile global community ever seen in the history of humankind. A world with small pockets of hatred, which are ready to ignite into fighting at a moments notice, leave us constantly on the edge of global conflict. President Bush, also known as the "War President," sits in the most problematical position ever created in civilized society. At this time in history, he is walking the edge of the sword's blade as the commander and chief of the world's most powerful military organization. No one can envy the work our president has to do, it is a tough and thankless position to fill, and it takes absolute resolve to do the job, which has been thrust upon him, with its hard decisions and even harsher criticisms. George W. Bush must pray nightly for wisdom and guidance from the almighty. We must be in awe of this man who has taken the mantle of the world upon his shoulders, taken it upon himself to do what has to be done even though it is sometimes filled with blinding agony when it comes to the calling forth of our soldiers to sacrifice their lives for the cause of liberty and freedom on the foreign fields of battle. With the strategic deployment of military forces around the globe, America stands ready to defend itself and its allies against any hostilities, our President has been diligent in making sure that we are committed to a strong presence through out the world. We, as Americans know what the world thinks of us because of our foreign policies and the ways in which we deal with some of the worlds hostile political leaders, President Bush is trying to bring something to the global community which has never been realized before; an end to the cowardly ways in which religious extremists and political terrorist fight for their causes. He is teaching the self-sacrificing fanatics and the criminally minded killers of the innocent that America will not tolerate these kinds of tactics. George W. Bush is showing the world of hatred that America will fight back against any tyrant who tries to harm us here on our own soil, and that we are willing to take it to the limit when it comes to dealing with the enemies of democracy and freedom.Of course, we all want peace in the world, naturally, but sometimes we have to draw the sword and fight in order to keep what we have worked so hard to build. Our founding fathers would not have tolerated the 9-11 attacks, not for an instant, they would have used every resource at their disposal to destroy the criminals who perpetrated that act of cowardice upon our people. Has it not been true that every time that America has been attacked have we not been up smashing the faces of that enemy, dealing with their arrogance and hatred? There is nothing new here with our President, he is doing the job, which has been handed to him, and he is taking care of business, as it should be done. The founding fathers are not turning over in their graves because of our President they are up on their feet cheering this man who will be seated next to them in the afterlife. A point needs to be made in conclusion; it is a sad fact that patriotism has fallen by the wayside this is deplorable and disheartening. The people of America must embrace their country again and support their leaders in the monumental tasks, which they have undertaken. Keep loving America, be a patriot, show your support!
