Moon versus Manhole
Article on civic authority of India
By Tahir Khan
Bombay Correspondent
Moon versus Manhole

There was an incidence took place few days back, a 10 year old boy fell into a manhole and lost his life. This incidence took place in Delhi (capital of India). This manhole situated just 4 kilometer away from Delhi's centrally located famous monument India Gate.

There are two statements just for compare.

"We do not have proper instruments to take off any human being who fell into the sewer"

This statement was given by the municipal corporation of Delhi just after when boy was fell into the sewer and called military for help.

There is another statement which need notice.

"We have plan to sent lunar vehicle on the moon name chandryan in 2016"

Dr. K Kasturirangan DRDO chief India.

These both parallel statements need comparison, one side municipal corporation do not have proper instruments to deal if anyone fell into the sewer and another side have plan to sent lunar vehicle to the moon.

This was not first and one incidence, in last few months more than ten child fell into sewer or open borewell and most of them lost life and in most cases civic authority cannot able to handled these kind of situation and call military for help.

Another view it does not mean manhole stop India progress but is shows the India's true picture and how imbalance kind of progress in going on.

In last few decades India has huge rise in GDP and India spent lot for it's defense and space program and in same lane India also test fire many missiles and planing to built intercontinental ballistic missiles and also cryogenic engines.

But the another side is horrible, more than half of the population lives under poverty, illiteracy and have not proper food, cloth and drinking water. Corruption and bureaucracy on it's peak.

These kind of incidence and spent huge amount of money in fruitless things left many question like what kind of progress India is doing, on what track India is going what kind of development and industrialization is going on.

India's present development mere only for certain class and left huge population in miserable condition. Indian government making fool the world community by test fire of missiles and their space program.
