Stand Up America and Protest!
By Thomas Emmon Pisano
US Correspondent
Wounded U.S. Army soldiers are loaded onto a C-130 Hercules at Baghdad International Airport.

I AM MAD AS HELL! Listen America just because the war and its counterparts are not in the news and just because there are not a lot of people speaking out about the war in the Middle East, does not mean that we should forget it exists. I could have bought every drop of oil coming out of the Arab oil fields with the blood and money we have spent on this war in Iraq. Actually, this has been the most un-economical war ever fought by the United States government in our history, and for what!? Even the Revolutionary War, which by the way was financed with foreign money, did not cost what this fiasco is costing the American people at present.

The world is looking at America with distain and disgust, we are the laughing stock of the world community because we are in over our heads and we are on a fool's errant in Iraq. And with our leaders considering that we should expand this operation into Iran, we are not only a nation of fools, if we let this disgraceful war continue, but we are a nation which is being led by stupid insane fools as well. The American people must make a stand for the last time, we must stop this madness and promptly. We are actually destroying a generation of young people for no other reason than to satisfy an egomaniacal president who can hardly spell his own name let alone run this great nation of ours.

It is the duty of the American people to stand up and say NO, THIS INSANITY MUST STOP! We, as Americans must state categorically that the joy ride is over and that George Walker Bush must stop wasting American lives and resources to appease his own maladjusted ego, or the people will take more drastic measures like impeachment, yes impeach the president. His actions are criminal and worthy of commitment to an institution for the criminally insane. Not only should the president be incarcerated for his actions but every one that is responsible for this detestable military campaign in the Middle East, advisors, military and civilian co-planners and virtually anyone who had a hand in all this blood shed and torment to the peoples on both sides of the conflict, should be put behind bars.

America, stop trusting this president and his advisors, stop thinking that they must be smarter that you are, they are not smart they are just power mad and the more power they get the more power hungry they become. How can any of this destruction be right? We have destroyed the nation of Iraq, a sovereign country that was functioning just fine before we intervened and upset its balance of power. And for what purpose have we ruined the lives of countless millions? To satisfy the delusions of a president who should not be in the White House, whom we all suspect cheated on the election in the first place. Get this madman and his henchmen out of the oval office and let us get our lives back to normal again, bring home those brave soldiers before they are committed to more of George W. Bush's insane ideas.

This brings me to another thing, which is of some importance; I have been now on the edge of poverty for nearly six months, and have been fighting an ongoing battle with making a living since I moved here to New Orleans in April of 2007.

Please help keep these essays and articles coming from my pen and computer with a donation slipped into an envelope, not much a dollar would help support this, I feel a worthy cause. If you cannot send a donation send a letter telling me what you think of this column, any support would help me in my endeavors and if you feel that there is something I have missed these past months that needs to be addressed please help me to understand your needs better by addressing that topic in your letters. Look, I know this is an unusual thing for a columnist to request, and I am embarrassed to ask and I know it is not something that is usually done in the professional world, but as the freelance writer of this column I would not ask this of my readers if it were not necessary. Send all generous donations and letters either to; THE SEOUL TIMES or directly to me at: Thomas Emmon Pisano 1005 Decatur Street 1C, New Orleans, Louisiana 70116.

Remember that I would like to hear from people all over the world and that donations are not the total reason for this request, I want your feedback and ideas for my column, help me do a better job for you by telling me what you think. Thank you; Thomas Emmon Pisano.
