'The Great India' decorated with the proud titles of 'The World Guide,' 'The Golden Sparrow' passed through many ancient & historical events & at present stands among the developing countries of the world. But if we believe the opinions of Indian economists, scientists & farsighted optimists, India will join the group of the developed countries in 2020. The all-round development of the country, the high rising market index, the growing strength of the Indian currency, the rising standard of living of Indians & day by day increasing awareness of the common man are the proofs that, undoubtedly, our country has taken the take off position & probably this development will not stop until by 2020 or until India joins the class of developed nations.

All the states of India are playing an important role to push India on the path of development. Some states are attracting the heavy foreign investments in their states. On this issue, there is great zeal among the youth, students, farmers & the common man. It can be said that the whole country is grateful to the visionaries of Bharat Ratn Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as that farsighted scientists gave the great philosophy to make India a developed country. But under the guise of this development, a dangerous game is being played in our country that may prove fatal for the unity, oneness & communal harmony of the country.

As far the development is concerned the works for development are underway in Punjab & in Haryana too, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & even there are news of development from Bihar, the most backward state of the country. But states moving on the path of development & playing the important role for setting the country on the lines of take off give a pleasant sign that the state governments are moving on the path of development along with the contribution of the population of the state. There is the effort to keep apart the politics of caste & religion. The country has the faith in all the citizens of its state to do their duty honestly & to make definite, the role to be played by them for the development of the country. But a state is there that has communalism under the veil of development. India's most important state Gujarat that has burnt because of Godhra Sabarmati train incident & after that the communal riots there are efforts to spread communalism & water it along with the works of development. This can't be called development but a blemish on the name off development.

A polarization of votes on the basis of communalism is being done in Gujarat, famous as the birth place & work field of Mahatma Gandhi, who was the messenger of non-violence. This state being ruled by the Bhartiya Janta Party is experiencing the polarization being done on the basis of communalism. Unfortunately, it is all being done in a planned & organized way. It is a matter of sorrow that its far reaching effects are being ignored just to get the limited & temporary gain to get the power in the state. The reaction of this foul play on the national & international level & impression of the country is being set aside.

Bhartiya Janta Party had always been under an impression that it is such a political party that represents thoughts of fundamental Hindutva. The organization Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) based on the extreme Hinduism also patronise the Bhartiya Janta Party. But under its farsighted plan of ruling the country, Bhartiya Janta Party also takes support of the policy which is beneficial for it. For example having mentality that is not in favour of the Muslims, it has attached with itself some Muslim leaders, who may not have good regard in their own community. The Bhartiya Janta Party has been showing them as their spokesmen so that it can show the world that it is a secular party.

But it seems that this show is not needed in Gujarat. The result of communal polarization after assembly elections that have come out after the Gujarat riots has added to its fundamental thoughts. Even at present the Bhartiya Janta Party is trying to show that it is an organization of all communities. But in the fresh Gujarat assembly elections, Mr. Narendra Modi has not offered candidature to any Muslim candidate. All this shows that the Bhartiya Janta Party may need or not the 200 million Muslims but at least Narendra Modi doesn't require the help of the Muslims.

Narendra Modi not only took a decision of not giving a candidature to any Muslim but didn't allow the Muslim leader of BJP to come for election campaign in Gujarat also. Even the party workers have been asked to not to go to the Muslim colonies for asking them for votes for BJP. Besides the Muslim voters have been pressurized to not to caste their votes. This polarization of votes on the basis of communities has made a ditch between the Hindu & the Muslim communities. This policy followed successfully has helped Mr. Narendra Modi to reach the power & become the Chief Minister for two times.

Again in the assembly elections the hatred of communities is being increased. At the same time, it is being tried to show that Narendra Modi is not at fault in Gujarat riots. Whenever Modi is asked about the riots, he always ignores such questions. At such occasions he leaves the interview or talks about the development made in Gujarat. Whenever Modi throws light on the development of Gujarat, his claims seem to be exaggerated, just as claims of BJP Central leadership like 'India Shining.'

Anyhow in the words of Mr. Vinod Dua, who is a well known journalist of Indian electronic media, 'BJP is trying to wash the stains of blood with the soap of development', that too on the exaggerated claims of development or on the achievements of central plans. Undoubtedly, there should be all-round development of Gujarat. But if this development, on the work field of Mahatma Gandhi should be with the help of all the people of Gujarat, is better. It should be with the cooperation of all the communities. Development shouldn't be fuelled by the sufferings of any community.
