Serbian National Day at Namiseom
The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Seoul will host the Serbian National Day reception at Namiseom on May 24, 2008.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Seoul will be holding the Serbian National Day reception at Namiseom (Nami Island) on May 24, 2008 from 10am to 5pm. Nami Island is located 63 kilometers from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon. It is famous for its untouched nature and tree-lined roads.

The Embassy would like to invite you to come and enjoy this unique opportunity to experience Serbian culture at the dreamlike surroundings of Namiseom. The event will feature the young Serbian Stankovic Percussion Ensemble from Belgrade. The ensemble, together since 2007, plays in the style of American and Swiss marching bands and consists of a professor and the best students from the Stankovic Music School.

A special program by Uros S. and Chong B. entitled "Stripped Formality in Fabricated Paradise" mixing Serbian and Korean art will be exhibited. Also featured is the new Serbian children's movie AGI & EMA which follows a lonely child living in a modern and busy family and the relationship he develops with Ema, a joyful and curious old lady. The film is sensitive and understanding while keeping simplicity in style as well as including spots of healthy humor.

Events and performances:
—All day long performance by the Stankovic Percussion

—"Stripped Formality in Fabricated Paradise"
